Charter Boat Deep Sea

Every month, we schedule a Charter Boat Trip, normally on  Saturday and commencing about 6:00AM at the Wharf, for a days deep-sea fishing.  We usually have a productive day fishing (weather & current permitting) catching among others, Flathead, Morwong, Pigfish, Trevally and the occasional Snapper. We usually fish with equipment supplied by the charter operator however you may take your own equipment if the charter operator permits it. Generally we are back at the wharf at around 2:00PM. The Fishing Club subsidises every trip and a NSW Recreational Fishing Licence is not required for charter boat fishing.

Trip sign-up sheets are posted on the Notice board in the club about 4 weeks in advance of each trip.

Small Boats Division

This division fishes for points score and is open to all member boat-owners and their crews. Fishing on the first Sunday of each month with the weigh-in back at the ramp at 1.30. Trips are run out of Middle Harbour or Broken Bay. Captains regularly keep in touch throughout the trips ensuring good fishing for all. Small Boats Deep Sea also competes in the combined divisions away trip at Greenwell Point in May. Non-competition social runs are also organized regularly by Fishing Club Members along with other away trips at different times including midweek.

River and Estuary

This division fishes for points score for members in Rivers & Estuaries around Sydney with the weigh-in back at the ramp at 1.30. It also competes in the all divisions away trip at Greenwell Point in May. There are specific trips organized around species such as a Hairtail night  Non-competition social runs are also organized regularly by Fishing Club Members. All watercraft styles and shore based anglers are welcome.

Freshwater Angling

With an experienced Freshwater angler as Captain of this division we have many successful trips each year including week-end family trips.  Featuring both on-water and land-based fishing for Bass, Trout, Perch and other species. Many members have been introduced to Freshwater fishing through this division and all trips are well attended.

Rock and Beach Fishing

It’s hard to fit all the fishing activities into a month, but we have an enthusiastic captain for this division. With excellent beaches in close proximity to our club, we now see some very good trips in this division and it is an ideal way to have a nice family outing on the beach, especially when the fish are on the bite.

Kayak Division

With the booming interest in the Kayak fishing, the Club has a kayak division.  This is an exciting addition to our fishing activities and our kayak fishermen have specific Kayak Division outings as well as fishing in other divisions such as freshwater and river and estuary.

Social Activities

Apart from our Fisho’s Raffle which we run on Friday night, we have a number of social activities throughout the year. These include our Annual Presentation Dinner, a Christmas Function, as well as a club Barbeque. These are always popular and well attended and are a great way for all the families to get to know each other.
